In recognition of Martin Luther King Day (Monday, January 18), the offices of VRBC will be closed. Let us take this time to reflect on where we have come from and where we are heading. While these are troubling times, it is not the first time our country finds itself in an unsettled place. I will let the late Dr. King and his wisdom give us some comfort. “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”

I am so proud of our Cincinnati Bengals. On Saturday, Woody Keown President of the National Underground Freedom Center, Chris Miller, Historian and I had the tremendous honor of facilitating a session on systemic racism and implicit bias for the entire Cincinnati Bengals team, coaches and staff. Following the presentation, they also had a tour of some of the great exhibits including the Implicit Bias Association exhibit, the world renown Slave Pen and many other exhibits. Not only do we have a great football team, we have greater men! My special shout outs to Carlos Dunlap and Sam Hubbard. This was also the debut of our partnership between NUFC, BRBS and VRBC called the Samuel E. Lynch DEI Consultants in Residence program. #RIPBlackPanther. READ MORE
